really awful
engine problem
WHEN MY ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON FOR OIL, MY VEHICLE PRACTICALLY HAD NO OIL IN IT. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT THAT ISSUE THEY STATED MY VEHICLE DID NOT COME WITH A OIL LIGHT SENSOR, WHICH MAKES NO SENSE TO ME AS MY VEHICLE HAS A TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR
1 MONTH LATER MY HUSBAND CHECKED MY VEHICLE AND IT NEED A QUART OF OIL. MY HUSBAND STATED THIS VEHICLE SURE BURNS A LOT OF OIL.
DECEMBER 31, 2022 MY VEHICLE WAS AT THE DEALER FOR OTHER SERVICE AND THE OIL WAS CHANGED. MARCH 14, 2023 MY HUSBAND CHECKED THE VEHICLE AND IT WAS 1 QUART LOW.
APRIL 17, 2023 I TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE I REC'D THE LETTER ABOUT THE OIL CONSUMPTION. BECAUSE I BROUGHT MY DELIVERY DATE WAS MARCH 1,2015, MY VEHICLE D WAS NOT ELGIBILE TO BE TESTED. ALTHOUGH I HAD REPORTED THE PROBLEM PREVIOUSLY TO THE DEALERSHIP, I ONLY HAVE 87K MILES ON MY VEHICLE. BY THE WAY THE DEALERSHIP PUT ANOTHER QUART OF OIL IN THE VEHICLE.
VOLVO NEED TO DECLARE A RECALL AND DO RIGHT BY THE CONSUMERS.

I drove the car about 400 miles after buying it used and the oil light came on saying I needed a quart of oil. I added Synthetic Oil as suggested. I have driven about another 400 miles and the oil light came on again saying I needed a Quart of Oil again!

Purchased in 2016 with 30k on it. Every 2,500 miles it would require a quart of oil. Volvo said its "normal" and not under warranty.
After many chats with dealer and oil consumption monitoring its now using 1 quart every 650- 750 miles.
Dealer wanted to do oil consumption testing for around $600 and they could not tell me what that would entail or the end result would be.
