There are lots from engines from some 2013. and other years, Volvo cars (not model dependent) that have major flaws in the engine that cause them to consumer large amounts of oil starting from 30-60k miles. Usually it start after the warranty expires and Volvo will not commit to covering the cost of the initial repairs, which would be around $5,000 to replace the seal of the cam cover. This fix may not work so you would be paying again (or asking Volvo to pay) for new pistons. If that doesn't work, then it would need a new engine. So all in, you could be paying $25k for repairs to a faulty engine. I can't understand why this wouldn't be a class action suit?! My Volvo service guy says he sees this in one car per week!
