pretty badseat belts / air bags problem
I was driving home from work when I got a notification light that came on regarding my airbags. It said that one or more "airbags are not detected and to drive straight to the workshop". I called Volvo and they told me to bring it in. The light had subsequently extinguished and they could not get the light to come back on. The computer system did not record the message which is what is supposed to happen. The dealership can not find anything wrong with the vehicle airbags. Hopefully they are all detected if I get in a crash.
Overall this car has had so many problems. I love the design of the car but I am really getting sick of having to take it in for repair after repair. This car has been in the shop more than any other car I have ever owned. Honestly is it time to move on and get a different car??? This one seems to be a lemon.

I purchased this car new on May 20, 2019. Two days later I went to close the sunroof and immediately received an SRS airbag warning that the airbags may not be working properly. I called my dealer 100 miles away and they did not feel comfortable with my driving for an hour to reach them while this warning was onscreen.
I took it to a local Volvo dealer whom I trust, having used them for my Volvos in the past. So after a week of having my new car in the shop, they felt that the airbags were safe but even up to JULY they were still waiting for tech support from SWEDEN to tell them if any software update needed to be performed.

My air bag light came on with 2100 miles and after owning it for 6 weeks. Volvo USA said the car was not safe to drive. I brought it to the dealer who had the car for about a week. This is on a brand new car.
The dealer then drove the car about 100 miles to another Volvo dealer where a service rep eventually fixed it. Although I had a loaner I missed having my new car.
