After about 90,000 km, the car starts consuming oil at a rate of approximately 1 kg every 4,000 km. This situation then quickly worsens, and at around 100,000 km, the consumption reaches 1 kg per 3,000 km. The only solution is to change the piston rings, a job that costs 4,000 euros. Volvo is well aware of this problem but does not acknowledge it despite many people complaining about the situation.
