Driving to a restaurant from the mall yesterday when, while I was at a light, the car dies. I put the car in park and started it again, and drove up. At the same light, (I had to wait twice because there was a long line) the car stalls again! I, again restarted the car and drove to the restaurant and, as I was parking, the car stalled a third time! I had just put 1000 bucks into the car for a new timing chain, idler, and the almighty turbo. I took it to the mechanic the next morning and he adjusted the idler. The car settles at 900 rpm versus 750 rpm now and it seems to have fixed the problem. I own three Volvos, a 1987 240 DL with 294,000miles, a 1997 960 with 155,000miles and this 2001 V70. I wanted a 2007 to keep with tradition, but, they only had this. Needless to say I'll be getting myself an 07 soon enough if the trans goes.
