The consumer has the same problem as stated in NHTSA recall # 00V239000. The recall states that the tailgate locking mechanism may have been incorrectly manufactured which, in combination with cold temperatures, could cause improper locking of the tailgate. The consumer was informed by the dealer that the vehicle was not included in the recall due to VIN.
