This vehicle is supposed to get 20-29 mpg and does not and the dealership has no clue why that is and does nothing about it except put an extra 1000 miles plus on the vehicle. It goes through brakes every 10,000. Never have I had a problem like this in 40 years of driving. Volvo dealership says that is because of the auto braking. It will go to 8 mph from a stop with no gas pedal pressure. Volvo said that is because it is a sports car. Cost for remote start program over $600. Cost for engine block heater $900. Cost for new brakes $2000.
Oh, get this, I am not a loyal customer at the Volvo dealership even though I have spent all that money in less than 2000 miles. I am fixing this issue and I am buying a vehicle with better clearance and head room as I hit my head getting in and out of the car. The nice thing about this car, it feels solid and picks up speed fast without jerking. Oh the highway, you must pay attention or you will go 80 mph on cruise control 65 mph. It has all the bells and whistle. Must be that $1000 luggage rack causing decreased miles or the premium wheels sold with the vehicle. Stereo is good. This car isn't for me with a neck injury. I need more room getting in and out. I am not one to speed so the factor this car accelerates well isn't applicable to my 45 mph max driving. This car belongs to a younger richer person, not me.
