Volvo 2004 AWD S80, angle gear failure at 69712 miles. Cost $2555.18 an email to Volvo resulted in a $200 rebate. They questioned why the repair was not done at the original dealer but at another Volvo dealer, reason was that was where I broke down. After talking with Volvo had a strong suspicion that the repair may have been covered better if I returned to the original dealer. Volvo na contacted me again and said that there was nothing else they would do. Internet searches seem to point to many problems with this gear.
