The contact owns a 2001 Volvo S-80. The contact stated after having the battery replaced, the climate control unit became inoperable. The dealer was unable to reset the unit and advised it would need to be replaced. The contact believed the manufacturer should take the liability for the failure which could potentially become a safety issue when trying to defog the windows, disrupting visibility. The failure mileage was 74,610 and the current mileage was 74,665.
