Vehicle throttle became unstable, causing the vehicle to not maintain steady acceleration even when the accelerator pedal was in a steady position. Diagnosed as failing throttle position sensor. Volvo refused to repair under extended warranty or recall since the vehicle was 12 months past the expiration of the 10 year, 200,000 mile extended warranty on power train. Volvo failed to notify me of the recall, even though my vehicle has been registered at my current home address since 2006.
