Consumer 1998 S70 engine has failed on two different occasions, timing belt serpentine belt has been replaced. ***** the consumer believed this was a premature failure. The water pump was leaking. The front spring seat was replaced.

Plastic hinge on the base of the rear seat broke off causing the base of the rear seat to be unstable, Volvo dealer will not replace under warranty stating the problem is due to excess force not a defect in the seat. (father of owner)
