VW was responsive to my claim, since both fuel pumps, one in gas tank, and other external, failed within two weeks of each other. My confidence in VW engineering and quality control is completely shaken, I have only 37K on this car, and almost all highway miles. These engines were suppose to be bullet proof, but I am rethinking my confidence in VW.
To be honest, VW did pay for repairs.OK, some facts of this case.:
I bought car new, right off lot with ~200 miles on it. Dec 2012. I have drive 37K miles in ~18 months. Had car services as per recommendation at Smith VW in Wilmington, DE. Over 37K miles, did all required maintenance.
Car did not leave me stranded but I was out a car of a almost a week, over two repair different stops.
Asked VW to extend warranty another 24K miles since I have only owned this car since Dec 2012.
VW declined to extend their warranty on a $45K SUV, and makes me wonder about VW's confidence in their product.
