had a standard tail light go out. So replaced the bulb with a new one, but it was still out. So i took it to VW, and they said it was actually a faulty wiring harness that was damaged by the tailgate hinge (wear and tear).
So they replaced the entire rear tail gate wiring harness. This then triggered the 3rd brake light to go out, for no reason. I took it back in, and they said 340 dollars to replace that. At this point, I had no money left.
