I went to the dealership this morning to get my headlight replaced and check why the airbag light is on. The short side of the story is the passenger H.I.D. Module needs to be replaced and the total cost is $924.00.
The right side airbag igniter needs to be replaced and that is $749.99. I called the corporate office to see if there were any recalls or loyalty customer discounts available. The answer was no. I have read complaints from other owners of the 2005 Touareg and they have some of the same concerns. I will follow some of the other owners suggestions as to how to get there attention.
