We were coming out of a parking lot onto a main road. The road had a significant drop from the parking lot to the road. When we went to pull out onto the road the alarm and crazy front assist icon came up on the dash and the car abruptly braked leaving our frontend in the road. Thankfully, my husband kept his wits about him and realized that the "front assist" was thinking we were going to get in an accident and he was able to get our car out of the roadway before the oncoming vehicle hit us. Had I been driving, I would have panicked!
Update from Apr 23, 2021: I was trying to update an incorrect mileage when I had a problem with the front assist braking inappropriately when pulling out on to the road. I had approximately 14,500 miles on the car when that episode occurred on my car.
