Vehicle has 33,500 miles and had to add quarts of oil - it wasn’t due for oil change for another 2000 miles. I was told by VW service department that it is normal to add 1 quart of oil every 800-1000 miles - yes, 800-1000 miles. VW website recommends you check your oil every time you fuel up, this is such an inconvenience for a new car these days.
