I followed all the maintenance recommendations. I used the best oil, transmission fluid, radiator flush, etc. I barely paid my car off at 95000 miles it started using oil like crazy. Two repair men told me it wasn't worth fixing as it needed a completely new engine. Evidently, this is very common according to the repairman. The VW Tiguan has a reputation for this issue. Now you know. You've been warned.
