VW claims that cleaning of the sunroof drain is considered regular maintenance at 40,000 miles, my car has had all regular and recommended maintenance, and at 23,000 miles the drain has clogged and caused significant water damage to the vehicle.
This seems to be a sunroof drain design issue, as in 2014 there was a $69 million class action lawsuit.
