One glorious morning on my way to work, I'm sipping on some coffee at a red light when all of a sudden I notice a strong smell of rubbing alcohol in the car. Nothing was apparently wrong so I shrugged it off and kept driving. Just as I was about to park, the engine coolant light started flashing and the car told me to check my coolant levels. Go figure. I turn off the car, pop the hood and see all of the coolant fall from the car. On my break I filled it up with water and drove it for a bit to see what was going on...long story short, it ended up being the water pump. One of many problems with this car...I could write a book on what my Tiguan has done on any particular day. Stay tuned.
