I bought this VW Tiguan as a supposedly reliable pre-owned vehicle at a large established dealership outside Boston, MA. I have only owned it for six months. I put four thousand miles on it and still owe $10,000. on it. I cannot just walk away from the payments and stick it to Chase bank of course. I will be paying for this car for a few years! I have no transportation and I am rip roaring angry! It ran roughly for a few minutes, then check engine came on, it wouldn't drive over 10 miles per hour. Got it home because it was only a half mile. Never started again, the mechanic said it has a large oil leak, no compression and the valves are bent. The dealership wants $7,000. to repair the car, I have refused to pay them another cent.
