sliding doors and liftgate open on their own
One day upon returning to the vehicle, I found one of the sliding doors wide open. It was closed when I left. This has happened twice without touching the remote. What is worse: the lift gate opened while my husband drove the vehicle on the highway. if anything had been in the trunk, this could've caused a major accident. none of the doors are supposed to open while driving, even when the control buttons are pressed, and they normally do not. after researching, it seems that VW had Chrysler put one of their faulty TIPM boxes in for which they are being sued right now. Had much fixed, even though I told VW that all symptoms point to TIPM but since they cannot find errors they don't believe it. I am ready to chuck the vehicle, unless VW steps up and takes responsibility for their manufacturing. Transmission solenoid was replaced because it was faulty. Tipm causes this too by sending faulty signals.
