The contact owns a 2009 Volkswagen Rabbit. While driving 45 mph, the vehicle accelerated at higher speeds. While depressing the brake pedal, an abnormal rattling noise was detected. When it rained, the entire backseat and passenger floor were drenched with water. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for diagnostic testing or repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 121,902.
