I purchased this car a month ago for 23,200 euro, with all the bells and whistles. I paid that much for it because it is (or should be a GTI).
1. After one month and 1.400 km, it doesn't accelerate the same under 2500 RPM. It is like any other Polo. Also, I hear some strange clutching noise from the engine, after I stop pushing the gas pedal in the first and second gear.
2. To aggravate things further, when I switch to Sport mode, which made a BIG difference before (it stiffened the suspension and the steering wheel and it beefed up the engine acceleration), now there's not much to it, except for more noise in the sound system.
3. The suspension has softened and the car rolls more than is should.
4. And, as a final touch, the interior lights doesn't work the first time you push the button. I had to work those buttons several times before they do. This issue appeared once, but it's annoying, especially for a new car.
I will contact the dealer and ask for their opinion and some tests, because I will bet all my money that this car doesn't even come close to the specs VW claims (192 HP and 320 NM). If they can't prove it does, the contract is null and void.
Unfortunately, I live in Romania and I don't trust any mechanic here, because they all try to scam you. If this doesn't get fixed, I'll take them to court.
It's been a great experience for one month...
Update from Dec 29, 2015: All problems solved. I went back to the dealer and they figured it out. Back in love with my car :)
