Airbag light came on. Clicking sound from the steering column when turning. Had someone read the code for me. As the car is out of warranty, it's going to cost to repair. The guy that came out tried to reset it with scanner, and also tried disconnecting the battery for 15mins, to no avail.
After that, the horn and steering wheel controls ceased to function.
Contacted various places but they were unable to assist until Easter bank holidays were over. Volkswagen themselves told me there is a waiting list for repair of 2 weeks. Even though mentioning that it was a safety issue and I should be an emergency case. But no, no dice. I'm loathed to let anyone in the household drive it because of this. It is also not a recall, I've checked against the VIN.
