I bought volkswagen polo in Oct 2015 (Petrol) from Mumbai - north dealer.in July 2018 I felt little vibration while applying brakes and saw ABS light in the panel was flashing. I got it checked with authorized volkswagen workshop at andheri east - parsi panchat road and they told me that one of the abs senor (Front left) has got damaged and was replaced. I was charged 4,500 rs for the same. The reason was given that rats would have chewed the wires and sensors would have got damaged.
In the Oct 2018 again I faced similar issues and i again went to volkswagen workshop at goregaon west and this time reason was given that due to dust abs sensor got failed and again asked me to pay Rs 5, 500 for senor (Front - right).
I failed to understand how abs senor can be failed due to dust. I am driving the car in mumbai and i guess the dust we have in mumbai is normal and senors should be able handle the same. I am feeling cheated because of this and request vw team to reimburse me for my expenses
