During Sept/Oct 2013, I decided to trade in my faithful 2005 Polo Comfortline 1.6 (SNV 865 GP) for an updated 2013 model. I was so impressed with my original Polo that I could not bear driving another car. I went to Lindsay Saker in Midrand and found a suitable replacement for my 2005 Polo. I was told that it was a demo and that it only had +-6000 km’s on the clock (CH70WP GP). The deposit was a substantial one and exceeded the 10% deposit that was required by the bank. Everything went well until I drove the new car away from the dealership. Since then I have taken my car to • Oct 2013 - Lindsay Saker in Fourways. A gasket had blown and the software on the vehicle was out of date. I could not drive my vehicle. When inquired about the difficulty starting and the noisy AC I was told that the software would solve most of my issues. In the event that the starter continued to give problems I would have to ask the garage to replace the charcoal starter. • Between Nov 2013 and Jan 2014 – I phoned Lindsay Saker in Midrand to ask if they would take another look at the starter since it was still giving problem. After I had to make a big issue of the matter they agreed to take the vehicle and have a look at the problem. I received my car back a few days later. • April / May 2014 – My car came to a standstill in Sandton traffic on my way to work. The car overheated again and I could not drive it anymore. The dealer Principle sent someone to collect the car and I waited a week to get it back • Sept 2014 – I was driving in Woodmead and the EPC light went off in my car. This time I phone the Lindsay Saker dealership in MIdrand directly and asked the Dealer Principle to please have the car collected. Again!!
While I have been driving this car I have always had to check the car, everytime I stop to fuel up. Most of the time there is no water in the car, and it is about to overheat.
I’m very disappointed with this car and I assure you that I will never buy a VW again. I cannot wait to be rid of this piece of JUNK and I will tell everybody about it. I wish that I had rather opted for something different.
VW has has lost my loyalty.
