Yesterday after the shops I unlocked our car with the automatic Key. I opened the passenger door to buckle my 10 month old son into his car seat. While putting him in I rested my keys on the seat so he would not suck on them. After buckling him I I shut the passenger door to open the drivers door. to my shock and terror the car locked after I shut the door with the keys and my son inside.
My baby screamed in a boiling hot car for 30minutes waiting for help to arrive. The car has previously locked itself with the KEYS INSIDE!! Only the last time my baby was not in the car. The car should not lock itself if only the passenger door has been opened. A default lock after an hour maybe but with a two door car and a baby I am often using just the passenger door as the seat folds forward easier. I am so upset that my son had to endure that and the inconvenience that it caused us.
