Purchased this car as a certified VW and it also has a great warranty for this year. Love the car overall. Had it in the dealer once since buying it 10 months ago for a wiring harness failure in March 2021. The issues I am having now are threefold, some starting since I owned the car with the more serious ones happening in March and April of 2021. This is a 2.0L TSI with a 6 speed automatic Tiptronic gearbox.
1) Since owing the car, shifts are hard between some gears. Mostly the lower ones. It is hard enough that while braking, the hard downshift can cause your foot to depress the brake more forcefully than you intended slinging occupants forward so much that you may have to brace yourself in some cases. 2) In the last few months, on many occasions, it would delay shifting into Drive from Park, causing the car to lurch forward once it unexpectedly engaged Drive. 3) More concerning, twice in April 2021 the car randomly after being parked and shifted into PARK and tuned off, disengaged and rolled away.
I am refusing to drive the car anymore until the dealer can diagnose since the last roll away incident came close to my car rolling right into my neighbors house. Dropped it off at the dealer today since I am still under warranty. I guess we will see how well VAG will support that warranty and fix the issues.
Update from May 3, 2021: It has been a week and no diagnosis from dealer.
