This is our 5th VW Passat. The last 3 have had the same problem. We keep complaining to the dealer, but they won't do anything until the AC compressor fails - which may or may not be while the vehicle is still under warranty. VW is aware the problem exists, but won't publish either a recall or a technical repair letter. This problem occurs daily, but since we have to drive to the dealer and the AC is blowing cold air after 5-20 minutes, the problem has disappeared by the time we get there, and they can't duplicate it. So the vehicle isn't throwing codes.
