There should be absolutely NO reason for a turbo to fail with a little over 60K miles. Car not driven like a race car.

There are a lot of complaints on the Internet about the cheap turbos that Volkswagen is putting into it's cars. My 33 thousand dollar car is less than a year old. The main thing I want in a car is for it to get me there and back. The mechanic said he'd seen quite a few of these turbo problems. VW knows about this and isn't doing anything about it. They are hoping the Turbo lasts until the car is off warranty and the owner will have to pay for the repair. With business practices like this, I'll never buy another VW.
