Driver door would not lock or unlock with key fob. First problem was the door not unlocking, sent to Dealer and was charged $50.00 CPO Deductible for them to say they couldn't recreate the problem, TWICE. So I made a very clear (verbal) video of my Wife trying to get in her car to no avail. I tried reaching over from the other side, but you could NOT open the door from inside. Then the door wouldn't lock after the second trip in, I think they just took the actuator out. When I walked out one morning and just tried to open the door, it did open but the alarm also went off. Back to the Dealer flipping out, this time they had an actuator on the shelf. Was this the one they had to order while it was there last time???
No more problems with the lock to date, but other issues continue to plague the car. Going to meet with Head of Service tonight to search for resolution and go to Court in 15 days to see if VW has to honor the offer for Full MSRP on another VW of same or greater price.
This is my 4th Passat (1 was a Quantum), and by far is the most problematic car I've had. I'll try to add my lock video later.
Update from Sep 12, 2017: Here is the video required to have the problem repaired. Yes, I got a little smart sounding, but it was well deserved.
