This issue first occurred in November of 2016. The car first shut off after filling up with gas. Two days later it stalled at a light, but each time it started back up. Car was taken to VW service for diagnostic and report said fuel pump replacement. Car was repaired and back on the road on December 1, 2016. Two weeks later the car shut off again in the parking lot. The a few days after while in park (approx 1 min) waiting for someone it shut down. Each time the car started back up. Vehicle taken to VW for Diagnostic and no error code came up or found. I called VW customer care and they was very helpful in trying to assist. January 2017 The car was left with the dealer for a week, but nothing was found. Drove the car for two weeks and it shut down in the parking lot. Took it back and again, no issues found. VW customer care decided to change out a speed sensor. That is the only issue they claim it could be. As of February 23 the car has shut down on a few occasions. I have reported it but if no error codes show it's in vain. Car has less than 59,000 miles on it and end of paying for it in two months. No more Passat for us, VW lost a great customer. There are issues with the vehicle from what I see on the forums. This is enough for me...
