Sept 9, my 2009 vw 2.0T on my way to work the car stalled without any warning. Waited 10 minutes and started back up and made it back home. Next day wouldn't start, had it towed to the shop. Had high pressure fuel pump replaced, picked the car up the week later paid $1100, drove it home (no problems). The same night again on my way to work same problems occurred. Now it's been in the shop for over 2+ weeks, still not fixed. I need help!!

I HAVE HAD THE CAR FOR ONE YEAR ...

- two month owed - car stopped and wouldn't turn on; took to a mechanic they change the water lines, check the engine and said everything was fine. Cost 200.00

- six month - car stopped again; took it again they fixed the fuel pump cost 700.00

- one year and 2 months as an owner - car is starting to stop again - mechanic took a look at it and said it could be the fuel pump again.

This is ridiculous I have had the care for one year and months and I have already invested almost 900.00 dollars; so they can tell me it is the fuel pump again. Then I began to read all the complaints with 2009 Passat - related to fuel pump, emission testing etc. etc.

I am so upset and I can't afford this anymore... help me please!

After reading many reviews and complaints around the web i figured out that my problem is not a new one and VW certainly knows about it but not taking an appropriate action to solve this issue; my -under warranty- car's fuel pump suddenly failed on me while driving at the middle of a busy road and unfortunately with my 6 months pregnant wife...that I can assure you that it's like being in a horror movie,,,

1 week later and I'm still waiting for the new fuel pump to arrive and the dealer said just 2 days ago that I shall expect the pump to arrive after 15 days from date!!!

seriously thinking of suing them if not financially compensated

Update from Aug 27, 2012: almost 6 weeks and the car isn't fixed yet, waiting for the spare parts to arrive seems from another galaxy...
