I owned this vehicle for just over a year. Previous owner put roughly 17,500 miles on it. At 38,000 miles the fuel injectors went bad and spewed gasoline all over my engine. I could not drive the car and it emitted a terrible odor. I needed to replace all 4 fuel injectors, which cost me more than $1,300. This happened during lunch at work and I had to wait 2 hours for a 30 mile tow. I would not expect this from a well maintained, 38,000 mile VW.
