MY 08 PASSAT! After the last stoneing i gathered enough money to buy a used fuel pump i had found online for 150$. (dealer-300+part,300+labor) put it in and guess what it ran. was told it would blow up, Replaced numerous other things that shouldt of needed if it were ANY other brand of vehicle.then kept getting lock colum defective on message center and car would start and shut right off. Was very skeptical but since hardly anywhere else could do the entire job without the dealer having to do some parts anyway just took it back to them. Just told them steering wheel light on, and engine light came on in route to dealer. Later got the dreaded call but was shocked when told it would be ready shortly. BUT, BUT before i could get there got the call i expected they r having problems with alignment it would not be ready and would get a call tomorrow. the next day got a call saying the torque sensor was bad, would have to replace the whole rack for a little over 1600$ said no thank you and paid them for their time. was disgusted so didnt even pick the car up for a while and when i did it was way worse than when i took it there. HAVE GIVEN UP ON VW DEALERS,CARS,VWAMERICA,AND WOULD RUN FROM ANYTHING ASSOCIATED
