We took the Passat in to the dealer for a "routine" recall of the coils in Feb. 2010. It immediately started running rough, lost some power and engine warning light came on. Took it back to the dealership three more times, they said they put the wrong coils on, so they replaced them again. Engine warning light STILL on, car runs rough, especially between 2000-3000 RPM's. Diagnostics say multiple cylinders are misfiring. Had it to another mechanic who replaced a temp. sensor, but did not fix the problem. We suspect problem still lies with coils, but they've been replaced three times already, along with spark plugs. Now we just drive it around this way. Very frustrating!
