This defect would not allow the car to start consistently. Many parts were changed. Finally the light came on the dashboard indicating the problem. West Broad VW still charged $98 to "diagnose" the problem. Some people paid up to $1300 for the repair. So much for German engineering'
There was a recall about 6 months later, and they had to replace more parts. They had the recall in Ireland 2 years before the one in the US. I am still waiting for VW to send me the refund.
