I am beginning to feel that these cars were sold to keep auto repair shops in business. I have had the brakes replaced five times because of an apparent defect in the design. I have had engine mounts replaced, leaks fixed (or at least they have tried), a new radiator, and many, many other fussy problems. Basically, there is a major repair at least every six months. This car has scared me off of ever buying a VW again.
