First the car started taking on water. Then the electrical went haywire...horn honking, windows up and down on their own. Took it to VW who said we needed a new body module. We knew there were transmission problems and told them because the car kept jerking and missing. They said no. They replaced the body module and the car broke down on the way home. Back in for transmission module $1390 .
When we picked it up it wasn't really installed...sitting up on the floor with wires, so made them install it. Kept missing and so they replaced the transmission module but the car never ran right from the get go after the water. In the end they told us we needed a new wiring harness and the bad wiring harness took out the transmission. Too afraid to put more money in it so it has sat there for two years and just started taking on more water.
