This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
I have had excessive tread wear in 2 years versus actual driven mileage for my Michelin energy mxv4 +, 205/55hr16 tires. The tire manufacturer refuses to live up to the 50, ,000 mile warranty. Driving these tires with any moisture on the road has caused many near miss accidents. They are dangerous for the consumer to have on their car and a government inquiry should be performed to judge whether they are the subject of a recall.
At 10,000 miles the tread separated on the right rear side. The same problem happened on 7/5/2003 at 22,000. The tread separated on the right rear side. Michelin xfe mxv4+.
