VW And Audi Heater Core Flush - Passats of this vintage lose heat due to clogged heater cores. Usually, it can be remedied by flushing the system, as shown in the video.
Heater began blowing cold air about two months ago. Had it looked at in connection with the engine rebuild I had to endure a couple of weeks ago. (That's a different story.) Mechanic said heater core looked good and the rest of the heater system looked good and could not figure out why it was blowing cold. Mechanic said that if I needed a new heater core, it would be over $1,000 as the entire dash has to come out to replace the core. I guess I'll just be cold then.
The heater is blows cool air. I'm not sure why, but I'm planning to take it into be serviced. Sound familiar to other problem with a heater listed on auto beef.
