I can't believe my problem is exactly the same as the one above. I was going to just observe. Then this. The warning lights go on and the tachometer goes to zero, intermittently. Cluster of three beeps, repeated twice. Mechanic checked it out after fixing another problem, and little time to chase it down. Nothing wrong with the problems that the lights would represent, no explanation. Doesn't relate to humidity, or whether the engine's warmed up or not -- that I can tell.
