Technical Bulletin (Incorrect Glow Plug Faults):
During the initial glow phase, after switching the ignition ?ON?, the ECM performs a check of the glow plugs through the glow plug control module, to ensure the correct glow plugs are installed. This check takes 2 seconds to complete. If the engine is cranked during this check, lowering the system voltage, the ECM may receive an incorrect reading and set incorrect glow plug faults.
