I pulled off the highway and was turning around. The car suddenly stalled while driving, bucked and then would not go into gear. I took it to the dealership and they said the transmission needs to be replaced. My hybrid has a dsq transmission that is so faulty, VW has extended the warranty on this part in every country but the us! I call VW customer care. They could not answer my questions regarding the dsq transmission and its well documented issues and why VW of America is not addressing these issues in its hybrids. The 7 gear dsq transmission is only used in the hybrid in the us and the VW hybrid is not a big seller in the us so there is less reported information for this issue. However, many hybrid owners in the us have had this problem and VW is aware of it. There should be a recall or an warranty extension issued like other countries for this part. Thank you.,

When driving car it just stops out of nowhere, on highway and on street. Very dangerous. Then it doesn't start up right away, and I have to wait between 5 and 20 minutes. This happens in motion

I was driving on the highway and the car stopped moving. It was a transmission issue with the gear box. The same recall that the Volkswagen has but when I look up my VIN it doesn't come. However I had the same issue happen as the one described in the recall. I replaced the transmission but the car is still jerking around a lot. I want Volkswagen to take care of that.

Error code P309D, experienced loss of power while driving. Car would not go into hybrid mode, then 1 day later, experienced loss of power while driving. Volkswagen has recalled same model and year, however they said my VIN was not included. Gear shift box replaced under recall in 2014. Volkswagen customer service will not assist with the repair or include it in the recent new recall. While driving and pressing the gas petal, the car won't move forward and feels like its stuck in neutral. Has to turn off and in the car to go 50 ft. Car isn't driveable or safe.

The car is a 2013 VW Jetta hybrid with 64,189 miles on it, but only 4 years old. The car started to have a problem with its own charging system while stopped during driving the vehicle. It would not idle properly. I took it in to toms river VW and they told me it was a transmission problem, which would cost $ 9,000 to replace. They said they would try to get me "financial assistance" from Volkswagen of America. I was left in the dark for four days till I ecieved a phone call from one, ashley, (no last name given) and she said VW was offering 75% of cost. I told her this was unacceptable and asked to speak to someone else. She kept refusing, though she did say she was "sorry this was happening". I want VW to replace this part. I should not have to pay anything. This car was never worked on or taken anywhere but to a Volkswagen dealership. VW does admit that there is a mechanical defect in these transmissions, in the hybrids. My daughter and son in law who purchased the car and myself have seen online that these cars were recalled. The exact date, I first noticed this I do not remember, because I actually thought that maybe it was just bad fuel. I filled it two times with premium gasoline to see if that was it. Then I called my Volkswagen dealer. One time it acyually shut off on me at a light, as well.

At 45 miles per hour on a four lane street the engine turned off. The car continued to function on lithium ion battery with epc and battery icons lit, until the charge went to zero and all electrical functions including gauges ceased. The car was dead but rolling. I had a quarter mile with no traffic in front of me to stop, luckily I did 15 feet before a red light at an intersection. After missing two lights I was able to restart and drive with diminished performance (little power) to my dealership that was 1 mile away. This is not how my service invoice was written up. In writing they put "stalled at light". I am attaching an email from the service manager stating that no problems could be found.
