Rear coil spring broke while driving about 50 mph in a straight line. A loud bang was heard in the rear of the car. This was confirmed by the dealer during an oil change. I see that this was a recall for other 2019 VW Jetta models.

My 2019 VW Jetta runs well, but recently there are two safety incidents cause my deep safety concerns. 1)9/20/2023 around 12:15 pm, I parked my VW Jetta in front of Wells Fargo. When I put shifter in reverse, tried to backwards out of the parking lot, suddenly the car lost control and kept rolling forward, there was a deep ditch in front of my car, but the car kept rolling forward. I was very scared. I drove the Jetta to nearby VW Princeton and asked a technician to check the Jetta and find out the system defects, but the technician scanned the Jetta and couldn't find any problems, then suggested to schedule an in depth diagnostics into the Jetta to address my incident. 2) 9/26/2023, around 9:00 pm, I was entering a gate, entered the code, suddenly my car couldn't go forward or backwards, the engine stopped working, the car screen then showed: "Please manually start the engine." After I turn off and then turn back the key again, the engine started. I have texted the Service Advisor at VW Princeton about the new insident today. I would like to report the above two incidents to NHTSA for investigation. Thank you!

The vehicles infotainment or screen often malfunctions creating hazardous conditions. The monitor that is the only way to access certain vehicle setting and systems, intermittently shuts off completely, changes screens or settings, disconnects from cell phone or distorts audio and changes audio volume to inappropriate levels. The suspension during weather changes makes loud creaking noises and during cold months has choppy suspension that makes it difficult to see when going over imprefections or bumps, and during warm months is unreasonably bouncy creating the same issue. The blind spot monitoring seems to not detect a vehicle while it is actually in the blind spot and doesn-??t produce the warning light or noise. The blind spot monitoring only detects the other vehicle once it is out of the blind spot and visible from the driver-??s peripheral and continues to display until they have fully passed. It-??s ridiculous this model year wasn-??t fully recalled due to its extensive issues that affect almost all dimensions of the 2019 VW Jetta-??s basic functionality, safety, and performance.

I just purchased a 2019 Jetta R line and since day one I have a grinding noise coming from the transfer case or the transmission. It's always there at around 50km/per hour for about 2 sec. Like many others said it doesn't feel right for me. I hope VW will take action and do something about it. On top of that I lost all my radio presets and the screen has started to freeze. I also notice a knocking sound in the rear suspension over normal bump

I have a 2019 VW Jetta gli bought new from VW dealer. When you first start the car in the morning or after its been sitting, basically cold, it idles very rough. The whole car vibrates and shakes. After the car warms up this goes away. The ride of the car feels like there is no suspension. You feel every bump in the road. I have never gotten motion sick from a vehicle while driving. This car gives me motion sickness every time I drive it. I have had others drive the car and report the say thing. I have had passengers in the car and they can't believe how hard the ride is. I have tried all the modes eco, normal, sport and they all have a horrible ride quality. The worst thing is I was driving the car home after work and while sitting at a red light the A/C stopped blowing cold air. After coming off the red light I started smelling fuel coming from the A/C system. The A/C system was on max A/C with the recirc on, so was not on fresh air. Pulled over, opened the hood and saw fire coming from between the engine and firewall on the passenger side. I dropped the hood and the fire ball shot out the side passenger side right behind the passenger front tire. The side and under carriage of the car was on fire and is burnt up. I contacted the dealer they said to drive it in and they will take a look at it. Drive it in"??? after it was on fire??"

Since day one car is shaking like a boat, when I drive it on a highway making it not stable. Brakes squeak and I see signs on the brake disk.I am with the original brakes. Car is shutting down when I park. When I switch again to drive, it is completely off from itself, key is inside and I have to turn the key off and then start the car again. Air condition is not working properly VW said they have better 8 zones air condition. I had oil lamp around 5000-6000 miles they said that the car should not have problems till 10 000 miles. I have problems accelerating, I am loosing power. I have grinding scraping noise from the transmission. Also transmission jumps when I drive, slow response. The engine is giving me lag when I am at traffic light, vibration and shaking. I make multiple calls to the dealership and Volkswagen group of America to tow and fix my car that I leased. I explain that the car is not safe. I have been involved in multiple accidents. I am not feeling safe operating this vehicle. It's been more than half year and not one problem is fixed.

Ive had the car about two or three weeks. The key struggles to turn when in the ignition, even when I have my foot on the brake. Sometimes it turns on just fine and sometimes the key absolutely refuses to turn when in the ignition switch. Its as if im putting the wrong key in there but I only have one VW so this is for sure the right key. The car squeaks extremely loud. Its a really loud screeching sound and it only happens when I reverse. Both things only happen every one out of 10 times or so.

When vehicle reaches 30-40mph, there is a loud rattle sound on the driver side of the vehicle. Sounds as if pipes are loose under the hood or under the car. The rattle sound happens during acceleration randomly at any speed. The sound is reduced when in sport mode and does not make rattle from 0 to 30-40mph, but does make the rattle sound during acceleration. During my research I've noticed there are a ton of my same model vehicle that are having the same issue. I took the car to the dealer two weeks after my purchase to have if checked out, the mechanic brushed me off and said it was normal. My brand new car should not should like pipes are loose and rattle during acceleration. Its really embarrassing and I hope this does not cause a safety issue in the future.

Brakes are making a pulsating sound from when it was at 20000 miles, have been issues with the car from day 3 of owning it. Volkswagen refused to take the car back saying thats not a valid complaint.. engine makes a rumbling or a grinding sound when it is at 35-40mph ! car looses tire pressure every week. When going throught even a minor pothole it feels as if the struts were rammed on the road !! insufficient lighting ! drives almost like a bull ! feels like its just dragging itself.... awful to the core ! seat frame has been changed once before in 3 months 2days of owning my car and it has started to shake again but was ignored by the dealership! and all these things happen when on highway and city! car makes vibrating sounds but ignored by thw dealership
