My car wouldn't shut off. The steering wheel wasn't locked but I was unable to shut the car off. I had to take it to a dealer and they showed me how to "flip" the key to get the ignition to shut off and explained that this is a know VW problem, but not in cars newer than 2011. MY car is a 2016 with roughly 58000 miles, but warranty has expired...of course.
