The contact owns a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta. While driving approximately 45 to 50 mph, the sun roof glass exploded. The sun roof inside cover was closed; therefore, only a small amount of the fractured glass penetrated the vehicle. The contact did not suffer any injuries. The vehicle was towed to the dealer for further inspection. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 21,000.
