This is a lease vehicle. Dealer initially said it was not covered. Dealer then said they would take care of it, and they did. However, I ended up buying 3rd party seat covers to protect the new leatherette. Dealer indicated that it would cost over $1,000 to have this repaired if it happens again. I do not remember the exact dollar amount, but it was shockingly over 1k. If you buy a GLI, I highly recommend decent 3rd party seat covers. I chose Wet Okole, and I'm very pleased.
