mechanic replaced clutch had it for 2 months now burnt out
I serviced my car at a VOLKSWAGEN SHOP DILIGENTLY, then car would no engage The dealer replaced clutch when I picked up the car it did not feel right, the pedal was high I am very experienced driver. I told the service manager he said it will settle as you drive it, next day it was hell changing gears they call this engaging. After much discussion they decided to take the car in to redo the clutch or so they say got the car back in November after keeping it for two weeks. Last Thursday driving home from my new job, clutch would not engage stopped open the engine and smoke was all over the engine, 2 gentlemen came to my rescue, checked the oil no oil, he is a mechanic back in the day he put 2 quarts of oil in the car cooled down engine told me to start it, did 5 min of driving started to smoke and would not change gear, called 911 car was towed to shop.
Thursday eve 14th Dec, Only Saturday late afternoon did the service manager called me, Had the nerve to say He gave the benefit of the doubt I did not damage the car so they repaired it this time put a new Fly wheel which I think should have been done the first round, now he is debating what to do and not accepting any responsibility re 0 oil, also why his mechanic is not competent at his job I explained had 2 Volkswagen I 200 Quatro Audi, Volvo, Fiat, Jaguar 12 cylinder no clutch issues. He has not offered. me a loaner to go to my new job, I will have to rent a car in order not to loose my job.
