Started out with intermittent EPC light. Took it to auto shop but there was no engine code to help diagnose.
After a few months the engine began to lose power as though a cylinder wasn't firing. The EPC light would come on after this but no engine code to accompany it. Replaced the spark plugs. still no change. Mechanics couldn't diagnose the issue without taking engine apart.
Finally the whole car stalled while driving and I noticed the motor wouldn't start right away. I had to find the solution on carcomplaints.com
Ordered and replaced the crankshaft position sensor and this resolved the issue. I wish there would have been a code notifying of the problem.
